What a fun piece! I take it you have been vacationing recently around Pensacola? We rode bikes out from the end of the road to the fort last spring. it was quite a slog, and I felt like I might die from dehydration and heat exhaustion--but I didn't (obviously). I miss camping at Ft. Pickens.
Actually this is from a few years ago but we plan to visit Navarre Beach again in June... beautiful beach and you can watch the Blue Angels practice on Tue/Wed...
