The Calligrapher's Apprentice
Gasp! That is stunning! Absolutely stunning!Do you make your own walnut ink? I've never heard of PearlEx gold powder (I have so much to learn!)
Thanks Kim!No, I don't make my own ink, in fact this is actually a faux-walnut.PearlEx, like most calligraphy supplies, can be found at johnnealbooks.com orpaperinkarts.com
Beautiful work, as always! I wonder how the gold powder works. Do you write witht he ink adn then sprinkle the powder on it so it coats it and dries that way? It's so pretty. I tried to do gold leafing, if that's what it's called and made a mess of my paper and myslef!! Us newbies...*giggles*Becca
PearlEx powder is a very fine powder that you add to a liquid medium. I add mine to faux walnut ink. There are many pearlex colors, in fact I saw a pack of them at Michael's craft store yesterday. You just need to keep it stirred up.
